The Return of an Icon
Lancia is making a bold statement at the 2026 Paris Motor Show with the reveal of the Gamma, a flagship crossover that honors the brand’s rich history while fully embracing the electrification era. Positioned as a versatile vehicle in the compact crossover segment, the Gamma measures 4.67 meters in length, striking a balance between road presence and urban agility. Its exterior is defined by an aerodynamic profile, featuring a sloping rear and a split roof spoiler that contribute to a highly efficient drag coefficient of 0.25.
Inside, the cabin prioritizes comfort and forward-thinking design. A standout feature is the unique, side-table-style storage area between the front seats, which integrates essential controls and a wireless charging pad. Lancia has committed to sustainable luxury, utilizing recycled textiles, synthetic bio-foam, and mineral-treated vegan leather. Tech-savvy drivers will appreciate the comprehensive digital cockpit, which includes a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, a 12-inch head-up display, and a massive 16-inch central touchscreen, all enhanced by ChatGPT-integrated voice commands.
STLA Medium Platform Performance
The Lancia Gamma leverages the Stellantis STLA Medium Multi-Energy platform to offer diverse powertrain configurations. While a mild-hybrid 1.2-liter engine variant exists, the heart of the Gamma is its trio of electric iterations designed to cater to different driving needs. The standard front-wheel-drive model is equipped with a 169 kW motor and a 73.7-kWh battery, offering a respectable range of over 540 kilometers. For those prioritizing long-distance travel, the Long-Range model utilizes a robust 97.2-kWh battery, pushing the WLTP range to an impressive 740 kilometers.
Efficiency and utility go hand-in-hand here. The crossover provides 560 liters of boot space, making it a practical choice for families. Furthermore, the charging experience is optimized through intelligent features like battery pre-conditioning and automatic charging stop planning, ensuring that road trips remain stress-free despite the vehicle’s substantial performance capabilities.
The High-Performance HF Integrale
For enthusiasts, the most exciting addition is the revival of the HF Integrale badge. This performance-oriented variant reclaims the legendary nameplate after a 30-year absence, now featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. With a continuous output of 257 kW—peaking at 276 kW when the battery is sufficiently charged—the HF Integrale is a formidable machine, capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds.
Beyond raw speed, the HF Integrale is engineered for precision, featuring standard adaptive suspension and one-pedal driving modes. Even with its focus on performance, the model maintains a WLTP range of 676 kilometers, powered by the 97.2-kWh battery pack. With fast-charging capabilities that allow for a 20% to 80% charge in 27 minutes, the vehicle is as practical as it is exhilarating. Notably, the model also supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, allowing users to power external electrical devices directly from the car’s battery.
