The program is built around the company's core 4R strategy: Remanufacturing, Repair, Reuse, and Recycle. By refurbishing these critical high-voltage systems to meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications, Stellantis ensures that customers receive parts that match the performance characteristics of new units. Each refurbished unit is held to the same warranty standards as the company's MOPAR brand, effectively decoupling reliability from the need for entirely new, resource-intensive parts.
Expanding the Portfolio Beyond Batteries
The scope of this initiative goes well beyond simple battery swaps. SUSTAINera is rolling out an extensive catalog of refurbished parts tailored for the modern electrified powertrain. This new lineup includes electrically driven compressors—essential for cabin cooling and battery thermal management—and electrified dual-clutch transmissions designed for mild-hybrid architectures.
