Rivian, the American electric vehicle manufacturer and strategic partner to Volkswagen, has announced an upward revision of its long-term delivery targets. This decision follows a highly successful second quarter where the company outperformed its own internal projections.
Production Surplus Drives Optimism
During Q2, Rivian managed to build and deliver approximately 12,000 more electric vehicles than initially estimated at the start of the year. This surge in manufacturing efficiency has provided the company with the momentum needed to adjust its outlook for the coming years.
Revised 2026 Forecast
As a result of this operational success, Rivian has increased its delivery forecast for 2026. The company now expects to hand over between 65,000 and 70,000 vehicles to customers during that year. This update signals growing confidence in the brand's ability to scale production and maintain its competitive edge in the evolving EV market.
