UK ice cream van manufacturer Whitby Morrison has made a significant step towards sustainable ice cream delivery with the introduction of a fully electric ice cream van based on the Mercedes-Benz eSprinter platform.

The electric ice cream van is based on a Mercedes-Benz eSprinter Chassis Cab with a gross vehicle weight of 4.25 tonnes, offering a range of up to 274 miles and rapid charging capabilities, reaching from 10 to 80 per cent in just 34 minutes. The eSprinter chassis is equipped with Whitby Morrison's ePower system, which supplies power to the onboard ice-cream refrigeration equipment, ensuring that the ice cream stays cool while minimizing the vehicle's environmental footprint.
