DHL Express has officially expanded its logistics capabilities in Bangladesh with the induction of 18 electric vans into its local fleet. While the number of vehicles may appear modest by global standards, the company confirmed that this move represents the largest deployment of electric commercial vehicles in the country to date.
A Milestone for Green Logistics
The introduction of these electric vans is part of DHL's broader global commitment to zero-emissions logistics. By integrating these vehicles into its daily delivery operations, the company aims to reduce its carbon footprint in urban areas while setting a precedent for the adoption of clean energy in the Bangladeshi transport sector.
This initiative highlights the growing interest in electric vehicle (EV) technology within emerging markets, where infrastructure is still developing but the demand for sustainable solutions is on the rise. DHL Express continues to prioritize fleet electrification as a core pillar of its environmental strategy.
