Hyundai Motor Group has entered into a formal partnership with the South Korean government to standardize and expand Plug and Charge (PnC) technology across the nation's electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Streamlining the Charging Experience
The primary goal of this initiative is to simplify the user experience for EV owners. By integrating Plug and Charge technology, the system enables an automatic handshake between the vehicle and the charging station. This process removes traditional barriers such as physical RFID cards, mobile apps, or manual authentication steps.
Nationwide Integration
The collaboration aims to ensure that this technology is compatible across the country's diverse EV charging ecosystem. By establishing a unified protocol, Hyundai and the South Korean government seek to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility by making the refueling process as frictionless as possible for the general public.
