Hyundai's European EV Ambitions Accelerate with Ioniq 3 Production
The electric vehicle landscape in Europe just got a significant boost as Hyundai officially commenced production of its all-electric Ioniq 3 at its facility in Izmit, Turkey. Hyundai has channeled a substantial €250 million investment into retrofitting the Izmit plant, transforming it into a hub for cutting-edge EV manufacturing. The initial annual output for the Ioniq 3 is set at an impressive 30,000 units, all earmarked exclusively for distribution across the European market, ensuring a robust supply chain to meet consumer needs.

Looking ahead, the facility is also slated to begin production of hybrid versions of other Hyundai models starting from 2027.
