However, recent footage and reports indicate that specific areas once dedicated to vehicle production are being cleared. These spaces are now being converted into specialized manufacturing cells for Optimus, Tesla's AI-driven humanoid robot.
This transition highlights Elon Musk's vision of Tesla as more than just an automaker. By integrating robot production into its existing infrastructure, Tesla aims to leverage its manufacturing expertise to scale the production of Optimus, which the company expects to eventually perform repetitive or dangerous tasks within its own factories before becoming a commercial product.
