Chinese electric truck developer SuperPanther has reached a significant milestone in its European expansion. The company has officially commenced series production of the eTopas 600, a heavy-duty electric tractor unit, at the Steyr Automotive plant in Austria.
European Manufacturing Strategy
By partnering with contract manufacturer Steyr Automotive, SuperPanther is positioning itself to better serve the European logistics market. The facility, located in Austria, provides the technical infrastructure necessary to scale production for the Western market while maintaining high quality standards.
First Deliveries Completed
Following the start of production, the company confirmed that the first units of the eTopas 600 have already been delivered to customers. This move signals a growing competitive presence of Chinese EV technology within the European heavy transport sector, focusing on decarbonizing long-haul logistics.
