MAN Truck & Bus has announced a significant expansion of its production capabilities in Kraków, Poland, backed by a €1.1 billion investment. This move marks the site's transition into a critical hub for the next generation of heavy-duty vehicles based on the TRATON Modular System (TMS).
The Shift to Electromobility
The Kraków plant is set to become the company’s second production site dedicated to electric trucks. Series production for the eTGL model is scheduled to commence in mid-July, providing a boost to MAN's zero-emission portfolio. Following the eTGL launch, the company plans to introduce the new eTGM model to the production line later this year.
Strategic Infrastructure Investment
This investment not only prepares the facility for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing but also significantly expands overall capacity. By integrating the TRATON Modular System, MAN aims to streamline production across its brands while meeting the growing demand for sustainable logistics solutions in the European market.
