The developer noted that while the system is functional, the performance is currently described as 'abysmal.' The primary technical obstacle involves 'bonkers' bus contention, where the various components of the 32X struggle to communicate efficiently under the demands of a modern kernel. Despite these limitations, the feat proves that the dual SH-2 RISC processors within the 32X can indeed handle a Linux environment.
