Building the Green Freight Corridor

Over the next 18 to 24 months, the partners plan to establish a series of 'swap-and-charge' hubs. These facilities will be strategically located along key freight corridors to ensure that long-haul electric trucks can maintain operational efficiency without prolonged downtime. The initiative addresses one of the primary hurdles for electric heavy-duty transport: the need for rapid energy replenishment for large battery packs.

By combining HPCL's extensive nationwide fuel station network with EIM's specialized energy solutions, the joint effort aims to create a robust ecosystem for fleet operators transitioning away from diesel. This expansion is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions within India's massive transport industry.
