Daimler Truck has announced a significant global recall campaign involving more than 131,000 commercial vehicles. While the majority of the affected units are diesel-powered, the recall notably encompasses several of the manufacturer's first-generation battery-electric trucks.
Affected Electric Models
The safety campaign specifically targets eActros 300 and eActros 400 electric trucks equipped with Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries. The recall applies to units manufactured up to October 2025. These models represent Daimler’s initial foray into heavy-duty electric distribution, providing a foundation for the company's zero-emission strategy.
Flagship eActros 600 Unaffected
Daimler Truck has confirmed that its latest flagship electric model, the eActros 600, is not part of this recall. The eActros 600 features a different architecture and battery technology compared to the earlier 300 and 400 series. Owners of the affected first-generation electric vehicles are advised to contact their service partners to address the necessary technical updates.
