Researchers have identified a tiny group of neurons located in a primitive part of the brain that acts as a natural filter for distractions. This cluster helps the brain concentrate on important stimuli by blocking out irrelevant information.
In mouse experiments, disabling these neurons led to increased distractibility similar to ADHD symptoms. Notably, when the neurons were reactivated, the mice regained their ability to focus.
