Schneider Electric has announced a significant update to its Charge Pro commercial Level 2 electric vehicle charger, aiming to simplify the charging experience for both operators and drivers. The upgraded hardware now includes native support for the North American Charging Standard (NACS), reflecting the industry's shift toward the Tesla-designed connector.
Streamlined Charging and Setup
One of the standout features of the refreshed Charge Pro is the introduction of app-free charging. This allows drivers to initiate and pay for charging sessions without the need to download specific software or create new accounts, reducing friction at the plug. Additionally, Schneider Electric has optimized the installation process, claiming a quicker setup time for commercial property owners and fleet managers.
These improvements target the growing demand for reliable, accessible commercial charging infrastructure as EV adoption continues to climb across North America.
