Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Skywell has officially paused new vehicle sales in the United Kingdom. The decision follows the closure of Innovation Automotive, the independent importer responsible for the brand's local distribution and operations.
Seeking New Partnerships
Skywell has confirmed it is currently searching for a new distribution partner to resume its commercial activities in the British market. Despite the suspension of sales, the company is working to establish a framework for ongoing customer support. Arrangements regarding vehicle warranties, routine servicing, and the supply of spare parts are still being finalized to ensure existing owners are not left without assistance.
This development marks a significant hurdle for the brand's expansion into Europe, highlighting the challenges faced by emerging EV manufacturers when relying on third-party importers for market entry.
