A new application designed for the more relaxed moments of summer has arrived for macOS users. Appropriately named ScrollPods, the utility offers a hands-free way to browse content by using head movements to trigger scrolling actions.
How It Works
The app utilizes the advanced motion sensors found within Apple's hardware ecosystem. By tracking the orientation and movement of compatible AirPods, ScrollPods translates physical head tilts into digital scroll commands on a Mac. This allows for a completely touchless experience when reading long articles or browsing social media feeds.
Compatibility and Requirements
Currently, ScrollPods is a Mac-exclusive application. To utilize the head-tracking features, users must own a pair of compatible AirPods that support motion sensing, such as the AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, or the third-generation AirPods and later. The software aims to provide a more ergonomic and accessible way to interact with a computer during casual use.
