JBM Electric Vehicles (JBM EV), a prominent subsidiary of India's JBM Auto, has officially secured a significant order for 500 electric buses. The deal was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Drivn, an Indian electric commercial vehicle leasing platform.
Expanding India's Electric Public Transport
This partnership highlights the growing momentum in India’s transition toward sustainable public transportation. Drivn, which specializes in the leasing of electric commercial vehicles, aims to integrate these 500 units into its fleet to meet the rising demand for zero-emission transit solutions across the country.
JBM EV continues to establish itself as a key manufacturer in the regional EV sector, leveraging its parent company's industrial expertise to scale production and support large-scale fleet deployments. The specifics regarding the delivery timeline and bus models were not immediately disclosed, but the agreement marks a substantial step forward for both entities.
