Aurora Innovation has officially started the deployment of its second-generation driverless trucks within the United States. This move marks a significant milestone in the company's efforts to scale autonomous freight operations.
Expanding the Sun Belt Network
The new vehicles are being integrated into Aurora's existing commercial network, which currently operates across ten autonomous freight routes in the U.S. Sun Belt. By introducing these advanced trucks, the company aims to enhance its operational capacity and serve a broader range of logistics customers.
The second-generation hardware represents a step forward in reliability and performance as Aurora moves closer to full-scale commercialization of its autonomous driving technology.
