The landscape of digital music is undergoing a rapid transformation as AI-generated content begins to dominate streaming libraries. Music streaming service Deezer has reported that more than 50% of its daily uploads now consist of tracks created by artificial intelligence.
A Flood of Automated Audio
According to data released by the platform, June saw a staggering influx of machine-made music, with more than 90,000 AI-generated tracks being uploaded daily. This surge highlights the increasing accessibility of AI music tools and the speed at which automated content can be produced compared to traditional human artistry.
The trend raises significant questions for the industry regarding royalty distribution, content moderation, and the long-term value of human-centric compositions in a marketplace saturated by algorithmic output.
