The Gist

SEG Automotive has joined Easelink’s Matrix Charging initiative to bring automated conductive charging technology to the mass market through series production and licensing.

SEG Automotive and Easelink have announced a strategic partnership aimed at bringing the Matrix Charging system into series production. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in the automation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Scaling Automated Charging

The Matrix Charging system, developed by Easelink, is an automated conductive charging solution that eliminates the need for manual cables. Under the new agreement, SEG Automotive plans to integrate this technology into its own extensive product portfolio on a license basis, leveraging its manufacturing expertise to scale the solution.

Broad Market Integration

Beyond initial Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) projects, the partnership focuses on making automated charging a standard feature for future electric vehicle generations. By combining Easelink’s innovative charging technology with SEG Automotive’s industrial capabilities, the initiative aims to simplify the charging process for both private and commercial EV users.
