Microsoft is shifting its approach to cloud integration by making Windows Backup an opt-out feature rather than an opt-in one. This change does not apply to users within the European Union. Due to stringent data protection and digital competition laws, Microsoft is maintaining the manual opt-in requirement for EU residents.
