Indian e-mobility-as-a-service (eMaaS) platform BillionE has announced a significant partnership with JK Cement to deploy a fleet of over 150 heavy-duty electric trucks. This move marks a substantial step forward in the decarbonization of industrial logistics within the Indian market.
Pilot Phase Underway
The agreement has already transitioned into its initial operational phase, with BillionE commissioning the first 20 units as part of a pilot project. These initial vehicles will serve as a proof-of-concept for the large-scale integration of electric heavy-duty transport in the cement industry.
By leveraging the eMaaS model, JK Cement aims to reduce its carbon footprint and operational costs, while BillionE continues to expand its footprint as a key provider of sustainable transport solutions for heavy industries.
