AMD CEO Lisa Su introduced a new mini PC featuring the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip. This chip is the first x86 processor able to run massive AI models, including Qwen3 235B and Llama 3.3 70B, entirely on one piece of silicon.
The chip comes with 128GB of unified memory shared between CPU and GPU, enabling efficient large-scale AI inference. AMD claims the mini PC outperforms an Nvidia RTX 5080 by over three times on DeepSeek R1 AI workloads.
This high-performance system offers a cost-effective alternative for heavy AI users who typically rely on expensive AI cloud services. By running models locally, users could save thousands annually and potentially recoup the device’s cost in under a year.
